June Dickerson, LCPC
Practicing Since: 2020
June comes to the therapeutic relationship with understanding, empathy, skills, strategies, and theories. These equip her to help individuals maneuver through seasons of life with empowerment, confidence, purpose, and healing. June has a passion and interest in supporting her clients by awakening their awareness of their strengths while exposing vulnerabilities in a safe, nurturing environment. June will collaborate with individuals at their own pace to face life experiences that have hindered their well-being and life path. June’s office setting provides an inviting, non-judgmental, safe, nurturing, and peaceful atmosphere to promote healing.
June’s treatment encompasses an eclectic approach recognizing no two people are alike and catering to the client. A few of the treatment modalities June utilizes are Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Solution Focused Brief (SFBT), Person-Centered; Motivational Interviewing, and Family Systems. June has a heart for people who are hurting emotionally and a passion to work with individuals who have experienced traumatic childhood experiences, which have resulted in low self-esteem and unhealthy coping mechanisms. Incarcerated individuals or family members who have found the transition difficult for them or their loved one tugs on her heart. Divorce, infidelity, and infertility are everyday experiences for many couples. Her desire is to walk alongside couples as they maneuver those unexpected disappointments and losses. June enjoys spending time with family and friends, baking, gardening, watching/listening to historical romance movies, exercising, being outdoors, and serving in her community.
