As a Certified Grief-Informed Professional with a strong background in grief counseling, she has extensive experience supporting clients through loss, bereavement, and major life transitions. April is skilled at helping individuals navigate the complexities of grief while fostering resilience and providing tools to regain a sense of balance.

Her therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and enhanced through creative interventions, fostering growth and helping clients achieve optimal outcomes despite the mental health challenges they face. She has significant experience helping clients return to their baseline levels of functioning and is committed to helping them find hope, resilience, and strength in the face of life’s most difficult moments.

April views mental health as an integral part of overall well-being and believes the therapeutic process is a mutual exchange that thrives on trust and rapport. Establishing a strong, supportive relationship with her clients is the foundation of successful therapy. She is deeply committed to erasing the negative stigma surrounding mental health treatment, promoting openness, and normalizing the pursuit of mental wellness. Through this approach, she aims to guide clients toward greater self-awareness, resilience, and fulfillment in their personal journeys.

A military wife of nearly 20 years and the mother of a teenage daughter, April understands the unique challenges families face during transitions and periods of uncertainty. In her spare time, she enjoys scuba diving, writing, photography, exercising, and taking on new fitness challenges.

April is licensed in the state of Maryland (License #: 31538) and under the clinical supervision of Georgina Irondi, LCSW-C (License #: 20025).
