April Clements, MSW Supervisee in Clinical Social Work

Practicing since: 2018

April aims to create a calm, peaceful environment where clients can feel free from judgment and able to express themselves openly and honestly. She takes an eclectic approach to therapy drawing from play therapy techniques, CBT, DBT, ACT, FFT, spirituality and psychodynamic theory to provide her clients with a unique and individualized experience in therapy.

April views the therapeutic process as collaborative. She takes a person-centered approach working with the client to identify therapy goals to ensure the client is getting what they need out of therapy. She sees herself as a guide assisting clients in becoming a mentally healthier version of themselves.

April is a certified Functional Family Therapist, and she has a master’s in social work with a specialization in child and adolescent therapy and assessment.

April is a devoted Christian, wife and loving mother to three amazing kiddos. She loves to bake for her family and friends. She loves spending time with her children and her husband going to movies, bowling and just hanging out laughing together. On family vacations they love to visit different museums and learn about different cultures. She views her work as a therapist as more than a career, but a calling. April
