Dr. Payne enjoys working with a diverse range of individuals, including college students, college athletes, business professionals, medical professionals, first responders, and homemakers. She provides medication management and brief psychotherapy for both adults with behavioral issues, as well as offering parenting support and couples counseling.

Additionally, professional athletes, business owners, business professionals, first responders, and police officers often seek Dr. Payne’s supportive therapy to help them navigate the challenges and daily stressors in their respective professions. Through individualized treatment plans, individuals in these professions can work towards achieving their professional goals and reducing overall stress levels.

During the initial session, Dr. Payne focuses on understanding the purpose of the visit and explores triggers and symptoms that may impact the individual’s work, home life, or school performance. Her mission is to create a supportive environment that aids patients in setting and achieving goals for personal growth, advancing in mental health treatment, and enhancing their quality of life.

Dr. Payne is a board-certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Old Dominion University and over 20 years of healthcare experience. In addition to her professional endeavors, she has a passion for reading and photography.
