Domoniquie Ginyard, MSW Supervisee in Clinical Work

Practicing Since: 2018

Domoniquie creates a safe and judgement free environment where clients feel supported and understood. Her favorite treatment modalities are person centered, trauma informed care and ACT. She tries to focus on meeting the client where they are.

Domoniquie believes mental health is an inadequately discussed topic. She believes people struggle on their own because they feel like they will be judged, and the therapeutic process allows clients to view their problems and concerns in a different light. Clients are given a voice when at times, they do not believe they have one.  In this therapeutic process, they are in charge of how they are viewed. The therapeutic process allows clients to understand that their mental health and their disorder does not define them.

Domoniquie has obtained her MSW. She participated and completed the child welfare stipend program. She has a certification in gender violence intervention.  She also has a Women’s Entrepreneurship Certificate from Cornell university.

Domoniquie is a lover of food, and she enjoys trying new restaurants and experiencing different atmospheres. She loves traveling out of the country and she feels like the best way to understand other cultures is to be a part of it.  She is a mother of two boys and a foster mom. One of her boys is adopted from foster care. She has always wanted to give back because she feels like everyone deserves to be happy and safe.

Domoniquie is licensed in the state of Virginia (0906013639) and is under the clinical supervision of Claudia McDowell, LCPC (VA license #0904005916).
