Joshua Carr, Intern

Practicing Since: 2025

During sessions with Joshua, clients can expect a collaborative process where they work as a team to explore fresh insights, develop practical tools, and gain new perspectives that can be applied to their everyday life. These tools will guide clients by helping them move towards the life they truly desire. One step at a time.

Joshua’s work is grounded in authenticity, open communication, and a practical, no-nonsense approach that keeps clients focused on what is feasible and meaningful to them. Joshua encourages clients to bring their true self to sessions, and he will do the same by fostering an environment where they can be honest and work together towards real, lasting change.

Throughout the process, clients’ feedback will be vital, and Joshua welcomes open conversations to ensure their work remains effective and relevant to their needs. Together, they will approach their growth with patience, knowing that meaningful progress, no matter how small, is still progress.

Joshua views therapy as a gradual, intentional journey towards healing. He believes mental health is not something that can be fixed instantly; it’s a process that unfolds with patience and dedication. Josha understands that sharing difficult or painful experiences can be challenging, but he encourages clients to speak their truth without fear of judgment.

On a good day, Joshua can be found indulging in some good food. He is truly a foodie who thrives on trying cuisines from all over the world-whether it’s the bold flavors of the West Indies, the rich dishes of West Africa (shoutout to Nigeria and Ghana), or some down-home Southern comfort food (blame his Arkansas roots). He does his own cooking and is currently exploring the idea of catering. Joshua is very active in the community. He occasionally tutors folks working towards attaining their GED, leading youth groups, and helping with food and donation drives. It’s his way of paying it forward.
