Julia leads with a strong cognitive behavioral approach tied to the use of the strengths-based framework with a focus on treating the entire family system and working from a team approach. Julia is trained in the use of multiple treatment modalities which are often used during the therapeutic process. Some of these modalities include: creative writing, the use of sand tray, painting, sculpting and drawing.
Julia completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology in 1995 from West Chester University and then her Master’s in Social Work from Widener University in 1999. Some of Julia’s experience includes working within the child welfare system, domestic violence and sexual abuse, school-based treatment and large community based mental health organizations. For the past ten years, Julia has worked at Safe Harbor and enjoys building therapeutic relationships with her clients to meet their treatment goals.
