Keisha Young, Master’s Level Clinical Intern
Practicing Since: 2024
Keisha aims to create a safe and comfortable atmosphere for her clients by being transparent and nonjudgemental. She believes a strong, trustworthy client/therapist relationship is key to successful treatment outcomes. For this reason, Keisha specializes in a person-centered approach; allowing individuals in her care to lead the conversation and make active decisions towards their healing.
Mental health affects every area of life- it controls thoughts, feelings, and actions. And there are times when people need help navigating challenges that can negatively impact their well-being. Keisha’s role as a counselor-in-training is to assist individuals through those difficult times and back to a healthy mindset.
Married with a blended family of 5 boys and 7 grandchildren, Keisha loves to conduct at-home bible studies and lead neighborhood food drives with her husband. And in her spare time, she enjoys watching movies, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.
Keisha Young is under the clinical supervision of Jessica Ives, LCPC (License #: LC2578).
