Kristen Brenchley, Clinical Intern

Practicing Since: 2024

Kristen fosters a warm atmosphere where clients will find nonjudgemental compassion, empathy and space to share their own experiences and beliefs.  She works primarily from a humanistic perspective and believes that the client is the expert on their own life.

Kristen believes in a collaborative therapeutic process, where the client is fully engaged in setting therapeutic goals.  She will work with clients to figure out how best to use their strengths to tackle ongoing challenges and concerns.  She is also a firm believer in employing the strengths of everyone’s community or culture to support growth and healing.

Kristen previously enjoyed a career as an attorney prior to shifting her focus to clinical mental health counseling. She balances her professional life with a love for running, quality time with her family, and a passion for reading. As a lifelong learner, Kristen continually seeks to expand her knowledge and skills.

Kristen is an intern practicing under the clinical supervision of Stacey Crosson, LMFT (VA License # 0717001506).
