She often utilizes cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness techniques in her medical practice to help her clients manage their symptoms and foster personal growth. Latoya’s favorite part of working with clients is collaborating together to set achievable goals and celebrating progress together.

Latoya views mental health as a crucial component of overall well-being and believes that therapy can be an empowering journey toward self-discovery and healing. The therapeutic process is a collaborative effort where individuals can explore their thoughts and feelings in a safe and supportive environment. Her approach is to tailor sessions to each individual’s needs, fostering growth and resilience along the way.

Having completed specialized trainings in psychiatric mental health and being certified as a PMHNP-BC, Latoya is well equipped to provide effective medication management treatment of mental health ailments. Additionally, Latoya has extensive experience in trauma-informed care and crisis intervention. Her 21 years of service as a Registered Nurse in the military, along with her role as a behavioral health case manager for soldiers, has given Latoya a solid professional foundation. This experience has equipped her to effectively assist individuals dealing with mental health challenges and to manage complex situations with empathy and proficiency. Latoya’s aim is to leverage these experiences to deliver the highest standard of care to her clients.

Beyond her professional life, Latoya has a passion for creative pursuits. She enjoys listening to all genres of music, attending concerts, and visiting art galleries. Additionally, she loves experimenting with interior design and finding joy in transforming spaces into something unique and beautiful.
