Embarking on your therapy journey can feel daunting. You may not know where to begin, what to look for, or how to identify your specific needs. It’s common to experience emotions that are hard to understand or to face situations that seem unmanageable. This is where Lawrynn comes in. Whether you’re feeling anxious or sad, or you’re unsure about your next steps in life, she can provide the support you need. Lawrynn specializes in providing professional counseling services to children ages 5 and above, adolescents, and emerging adults. Her clinical interests include anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma/grief counseling, racial disparities and conflict, sexual identity, and attachment issues. She also offers tailored assistance to adults, families, and couples as needed. And working with children, teenagers, and young adults has always especially brought Lawrynn great joy. While asking for help can be challenging, Lawrynn is here to offer extensive support that you can rely on for years to come.
Lawrynn views mental health as a dynamic process; influenced by various factors, such as personal experiences, relationships, and physical health. In therapy, she believes in creating a collaborative, empowering space where together we can work together to understand challenges. Her goal is to help you gain clarity, develop coping strategies, and ultimately find your own path to well-being. This could involve exploring different perspectives, trying new approaches, and learning to navigate the complexities of life with greater confidence. For instance, if you’re feeling targeted at school, we can work together to explore those feelings, develop strategies for communicating with your teacher, and understand the impact of other factors like medication changes. Lawrynn is here to support you in finding solutions that feel personal and right for you.
Having received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and then her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, Lawrynn’s educational background has provided her with a strong foundation in evidence-based therapeutic approaches. And she is actively refining her clinical skills in areas such as multicultural therapy, play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and person-centered therapy, with a focus on serving children, adolescents, young adults, and families.
Beyond her clinical work, you’ll find Lawrynn coaching youth sports, exploring new cultures through travel, cherishing time with her family, and discovering the best local eats. She believes in the importance of balance and finding joy in everyday moments.
