Tavoia Keys, Master’s Level Clinical Intern
Practicing Since 2023
Tavioa comes to Safe Harbor as a counseling intern pursing her master’s degree in mental health counseling. Her approach to counseling is to create a calm free non-judgmental space for clients to feel comfortable opening up and share their concerns in order to identify the tools that will help them to heal and grow. Journaling, creating words of affirmations, and meditation are some of the tools that she encourages clients to use on their therapeutic journey. Tavoia views self-care as an important aspect of each person’s mental health. It should be valued and natured. She wants clients to feel empowered as they collaboratively work together to achieve attainable goals and outcomes throughout each session. When she is not helping others, she co-parents her son who plays football and wrestling. She also likes to travel and spend time with family and friends.
Tavoia is under the clinical supervision of Jessica Ives, LCPC, license #LC2578.
